PRS India 2025 in Mumbai continued to establish itself as a prime platform for innovation, recycling technology, scientific testing, and sustainability-driven solutions. This year, global and Indian exhibitors came together to showcase advancements that will shape the future of circular manufacturing. Among the companies that drew significant attention were Adrem, Federal India Trading Company, and Krones Recycling GmbH, each representing a different but essential pillar of the recycling ecosystem.

Adrem: European Engineering Excellence in Density-Based Separation Technology

Representing Adrem, a Belgium-founded joint venture, the team introduced the company’s unique origins. Atrem combines the expertise of two powerful entities:

    • Valtech Group – a leading global machine manufacturing group with an office in Mumbai and a factory in Khopoli.

    • Galu Recycling – one of Europe’s largest and most advanced recycling organizations.

This partnership enables Adrem to bring European-grade engineering to India with strong local support.

At PRS India 2025, Adrem showcased its highly advanced density-based separation technology, designed to separate materials with precision based on their density differences. Their systems can:

    • Separate metals from plastics

    • Separate aluminum from heavy metals

    • Sort styrenics from polyolefins

    • Process shredder residue from e-waste and end-of-life vehicles

Their solutions help recyclers increase purity levels, improve efficiency, and maximize value recovery from complex waste streams.

Speaking to EQMint, the Adrem team shared a warm message: “Very nice people, and we like that.”

Federal India Trading Company: Four Generations of Expertise in Advanced Testing Equipment

The second major exhibitor, Federal India Trading Company, brought scientific precision and decades of legacy to PRS India. Established in 1950, the company has been supplying world-class mechanical and industrial testing equipment sourced from the US, UK, and Germany. Today, they are led by the fourth generation of the family.

Federal India Trading Company caters to recyclers, processors, research labs, and manufacturers who rely on accurate testing for quality control and certification. Their showcased equipment included:

    • Intrinsic Viscosity (IV) testing machines

    • MFI (Melt Flow Index) testers

    • UTM (Universal Testing Machines)

    • WVT (Water Vapor Transmission) systems

    • ROTR and specialty testing solutions

These testing systems are essential for verifying the quality of recyclates, polymers, plastics, packaging materials, and engineering components.

When asked what sustainability means to them, they explained that sustainability is a way of living that ensures a cleaner environment and a safer future for the next generation.

A proud highlight they shared: They supply testing equipment to ISRO Ahmedabad and ISRO Chennai, playing a role in India’s space missions by supporting the testing of resilient satellite and spacecraft components.

Krones Recycling GmbH: Global Leader in Turnkey Recycling Systems

Representing Krones Recycling GmbH, Lukas shared insights into the company’s strong presence in global recycling technology. Krones, headquartered in Germany, supplies turnkey solutions for multiple plastic streams, offering complete recycling lines tailored to each material.

At PRS India 2025, Krones showcased recycling systems for:

    • PET

    • HDPE

    • PP

    • LDPE

For PET, Krones presented its well-established bottle-to-bottle recycling solution, which closes the loop by transforming disposed bottles back into high-quality food-grade PET suitable for new bottle production. This closed-loop system exemplifies Krones’ commitment to sustainability and material circularity.

Lukas expressed excitement about the strong visitor turnout on the first day and invited attendees to experience the company’s technology firsthand throughout the exhibition.

PRS India 2025: A Hub for Advanced Recycling & Circular Solutions

The 2025 edition of PRS India reinforced its reputation as a key destination for exploring innovations in recycling, materials technology, testing systems, and circular business models. Exhibitors like Adrem, Federal India Trading Company, and Krones Recycling exemplified the wide spectrum of expertise showcased at the event—from material separation and scientific testing to full-scale recycling plants.

Major themes that emerged this year included:

    • Increasing importance of precision sorting technologies

    • Growing reliance on scientific testing systems for recyclate quality

    • Accelerated adoption of turnkey recycling lines in India

    • Stronger global–local collaboration across the value chain

    • Rising focus on closed-loop circular systems

PRS India 2025 successfully highlighted how global engineering excellence and Indian market opportunities can combine to shape a more sustainable future for plastics.
