Utkal Speciality Industries manufactures paper-based products and packaging materials, including paper cups, plates, bowls, tissue products, food packaging boxes and wrapping paper. The company serves a wide range of customers looking for sustainable packaging alternatives.

Utkal Speciality IPOproceeds will be used for working capital requirements, debt repayment, purchase of machinery for a new manufacturing facility in Odisha, and general corporate purposes.

On the financial front, the company reported revenue of ₹50.28 crore in FY25, compared to ₹44.15 crore in FY24. Net profit nearly doubled to ₹6.68 crore from ₹3.24 crore during the same period, indicating strong earnings growth.

As of now, grey market activity has not started and there is no GMP available for the IPO.

EQMint Analysis

Utkal Speciality operates in a segment that is benefiting from growing demand for paper-based and eco-friendly packaging products. With increasing restrictions on single-use plastics and rising sustainability awareness, the long-term industry outlook remains favorable.

The company has also shown healthy profit growth and plans to use a portion of the IPO proceeds for expansion and debt reduction, which is generally viewed positively by investors.

At this stage, the biggest missing piece is valuation. Since GMP activity is yet to begin and pricing details remain limited, investors should closely watch subscription trends and valuation metrics once they become available.

Current View: Positive business outlook. Wait for valuation and subscription data before taking an aggressive view on listing gains.
