Food business drives the quarter
The segment data on page 7 of the filing shows that the Food segment remained the main contributor to GRM Overseas’ business.
Food segment revenue reached ₹374.12 crore, compared with ₹294.31 crore in Q1 FY26. The segment result increased to ₹31.82 crore from ₹19.57 crore.
Edible Oil revenue also increased to ₹52.29 crore from ₹32.35 crore. However, the segment reported a loss of ₹0.32 crore, compared with a loss of ₹0.04 crore in the year-ago quarter.
The numbers show a sharp contrast between the company’s 2 major operating segments: Food generated the bulk of revenue and profit, while Edible Oil remained under pressure at the segment-profit level.
Sequential revenue moderates from March quarter
On a quarter-on-quarter basis, consolidated revenue from operations declined from ₹597.20 crore in Q4 FY26 to ₹426.51 crore in Q1 FY27.
Profit before tax also moved from ₹31.33 crore in Q4 FY26 to ₹29.90 crore in the June quarter. Consolidated PAT after the associate’s share of loss declined from ₹21.61 crore to ₹21.04 crore.
Standalone business also grows
GRM Overseas’ standalone revenue from operations stood at ₹334.12 crore in Q1 FY27, compared with ₹255.93 crore in Q1 FY26, an increase of approximately 30.6%.
Standalone net profit rose to ₹18.57 crore from ₹16.32 crore, up around 13.8% YoY.
Standalone total comprehensive income increased to ₹18.62 crore from ₹16.32 crore in the corresponding quarter.
Bonus issue restates EPS
The company noted that shareholders had approved a 2:1 bonus issue during the previous year. GRM Overseas allotted 13.81 crore bonus equity shares of ₹2 each, capitalised from retained earnings.
As a result, comparative EPS figures have been restated to reflect the bonus issue.
GRM operates across Food and Edible Oil
GRM Overseas said its business activities fall into 3 segments: Food Items, Edible Oil and Others.
The company also reported that its standalone business is primarily engaged in rice manufacturing, making it a single reportable operating segment under Ind AS 108.
The consolidated filing covers GRM International Holdings Limited and GRM Foodkraft Private Limited as subsidiaries, along with Swamabhan Commerce Pvt. Ltd. as an associate. The auditor’s review report states that nothing came to its attention indicating a material misstatement in the consolidated results.

GRM Overseas entered FY27 with solid revenue growth, led by its Food business. Consolidated revenue increased by more than 30% at the operating level, while PAT after the associate’s loss rose 10.2%.
The key point for the coming quarters will be whether profit growth can keep pace with the company’s expanding revenue base. The Edible Oil segment also remains an area to watch, given its negative segment result in Q1 FY27.
