August 20, 2026: Blue Cloud Softech Solutions Limited has entered into a strategic Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the Global Council for Investment and Business for Africa (GCIB) and Côte d’Ivoire-based Afro Mobile SARL to pursue telecommunications and digital infrastructure projects across Africa.

The MoA is dated August 7, 2026, with execution completed on August 19 after all parties signed the agreement, according to the company’s regulatory filing.

The partnership has an initial term of 5 years, renewable by mutual written agreement. It is structured as a framework for identifying, developing, financing, implementing and commercialising projects rather than a single confirmed contract.

Blue Cloud to Lead Technology and Digital Transformation

Under the arrangement, Blue Cloud Softech will act as the Lead Technology and Digital Transformation Partner.

Its responsibilities will include technology design and deployment, platform architecture, systems integration, technology transfer and coordination related to the technical and financial structuring of projects.

GCIB will act as the Strategic Development and Investment Partner, focusing on government and institutional engagement and mobilisation of investors and financing.

Afro Mobile will serve as the Telecommunications and Digital Infrastructure Partner, bringing sector relationships, operator and regulator engagement, local partnerships and capacity-building capabilities.

Projects to Cover Fibre, 5G, Digital Public Infrastructure

The partnership covers a wide range of telecommunications and digital infrastructure opportunities.

These include:

  • National fibre-optic backbone networks
  • 4G and 5G mobile infrastructure
  • Submarine cable landing stations
  • International gateways and internet exchange points
  • Telecom towers and passive infrastructure
  • Digital identity systems
  • National interoperability platforms
  • E-government services
  • Digital payment infrastructure
  • Satellite connectivity, including VSAT and LEO services

Project structures could include special purpose vehicles, joint ventures or consortium arrangements. Ownership, financing and revenue-sharing terms will be decided separately for individual projects.

No Assured Revenue Under the MoA

For investors, one point in the filing matters: the MoA itself does not involve any financial commitment, investment obligation or assured revenue for Blue Cloud Softech.

The company said individual projects will be taken forward through separate project-specific agreements, which will be disclosed when required if they are material.

The company and its promoters also have no shareholding in GCIB or Afro Mobile, and the transaction does not fall under related-party transactions, according to the filing.

Builds on Blue Cloud’s Africa Expansion

The latest agreement comes after a series of Africa-focused initiatives by Blue Cloud Softech.

The company has been working with GCIB on projects involving digital infrastructure, sovereign cloud, cybersecurity, telecom and AI-led applications in West Africa.

Earlier in August, Blue Cloud disclosed an MoU with the Government of Liberia and GCIB Africa for the proposed Liberia National Digital Infrastructure Project. That project covers areas including a national data centre, sovereign cloud, cybersecurity, digital identity, government networks, 5G infrastructure and AI-led government initiatives.

The company had also disclosed earlier engagements involving Senegal and Liberia’s mining and energy sector, forming part of its broader Africa strategy.

Blue Cloud’s Recent Growth

The Africa expansion comes shortly after Blue Cloud Softech’s shares began trading on the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) on August 17, 2026, alongside its existing BSE listing.

The company reported consolidated FY26 revenue of ₹1,002 crore, up 26%, EBITDA of ₹126.13 crore, up 78%, and profit after tax of ₹60.50 crore, up 37%. In Q1 FY27, revenue rose 41.9% year on year to ₹292.53 crore, while EBITDA reached ₹59.61 crore, with the EBITDA margin rising to 20.4%.

Blue Cloud had also entered into a separate 5-year Master Services Agreement with SpaceX International Ltd, MY through its US subsidiary in July. That agreement covers potential AI infrastructure, cloud-native AI platforms, enterprise AI, AI consulting, integration and AI operations services, subject to individual Statements of Work.
