The Indian jewellery industry is preparing for a new industry milestone with the India International Jewellery Awards (IIJA) 2026, an initiative by the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA) and Tefla’s. The inaugural awards ceremony will be held on 2 October 2026 at The Westin Mumbai Powai Lake.
IIJA 2026 has received more than 200 nominations, bringing together jewellery houses, retailers, manufacturers, designers, craftsmen, entrepreneurs, technology players and other industry professionals. The awards will present 50 honours across six thematic categories, known as the “Six Shades of Brilliance”.
The categories cover business performance, retail, manufacturing, craftsmanship, jewellery design, innovation, entrepreneurship and industry leadership. The organisers aim to recognise different parts of India’s jewellery value chain rather than focusing only on commercial performance.
The event will also feature a business keynote by Harish Bijoor, Founder of Harish Bijoor Consults Inc., titled “The Golden Power of Brand India: Heritage, Technology & Global Ambition.” The session will examine how India’s traditional jewellery heritage can connect with technology, branding and global ambitions.
IGM – India Gold Metaverse will be the Title Partner, adding a technology-focused element to the awards. Other partners include Royal Chain Limited, Malabar Group, Safari Bullion, World Gold Council, Swarn Shilp and CB Chains.
Around 1,000 guests are expected to attend the event, which will combine awards, networking, business discussions, entertainment and celebrity appearances. IBJA and Tefla’s have positioned IIJA as the beginning of a recurring platform celebrating India’s jewellery businesses, craftsmanship, innovation and industry leadership.
