Elitecon International touched its 5% upper circuit at ₹9.17 on September 23, 2026, compared with its previous close of ₹8.74. The stock eventually settled at ₹9.13, gaining 4.46% for the day.

The move comes against a backdrop of recent cigarette-price increases by ITC. Dealer checks reported on September 23 indicated that Gold Flake Premium rose from ₹125 to ₹135 for a 10-cigarette pack. Earlier, Classic Connect increased from ₹390 to ₹428 for a 20-cigarette pack, while Gold Flake Superstar moved from ₹79 to ₹89 for a 10-cigarette pack.

For Elitecon, higher competing prices could create room for a value-focused pricing strategy, potentially supporting customer acquisition and domestic expansion. The company manufactures tobacco products in Nashik and serves domestic and international markets, including the UAE, UK and Singapore.

However, the impact on Elitecon’s sales and margins remains dependent on product positioning, distribution and execution. Investors should also consider the company’s ongoing regulatory developments.
