Mumbai, 7 November 2025: EDME Insurance Brokers, one of India’s largest insurance and reinsurance broking firms, today announced the appointment of Mr. Vinod Krishnan as the Chief Executive Officer of its Treaty Reinsurance vertical on completion of his current stint at Gallagher. This marks a significant milestone in the company’s vision to build a globally credible, analytics-driven reinsurance platform as it strengthens its position in the regional and global markets.
In his new role, Mr. Krishnan will lead the creation and growth of EDME’s specialist global treaty reinsurance business, driving treaty placements, capital advisory, and analytics excellence. He will work closely with domestic and international partners to expand EDME’s global reinsurance footprint, enhance capacity access, and reinforce the firm’s market leadership. Regarded as one of the most seasoned and respected figures in the reinsurance landscape, Mr. Krishnan brings over three decades of experience across South Korea, South Asia and Southeast Asia. He has held senior leadership roles at some of the world’s most influential broking organizations, including Aon, JLT, Guy Carpenter, Willis and Gallagher, where he led multi-market portfolios and built high-performance teams across Asia. His tenure includes steering strategies for billion-scale reinsurance flows, strengthening global reinsurer relationships, and playing a defining role in enhancing the sophistication and commercial depth of Asia’s reinsurance market.
