Synopsis:
- Tejas Networks’ Q2 FY27 revenue rose 54.9% year-on-year to ₹405.68 crore.
- Net loss narrowed 32.6% to ₹206.94 crore but increased slightly from the previous quarter.
- High finance costs and continued operating losses remain key challenges despite stronger revenue.
Revenue Rises, Losses Remain High
Tejas Networks reported consolidated revenue from operations of ₹405.68 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, up 54.9% from ₹261.82 crore a year earlier. Total income increased to ₹413.45 crore from ₹267.83 crore.
The Tata Group telecom equipment maker’s net loss narrowed to ₹206.94 crore from ₹307.13 crore in Q2 FY26, an improvement of 32.6%. However, the loss widened slightly from ₹202.24 crore in Q1 FY27, highlighting continued pressure on profitability.
Expenses and Finance Costs Under Watch
Total expenses declined to ₹690.33 crore from ₹740.82 crore a year earlier, despite the substantial increase in revenue. Finance costs stood at ₹86.53 crore, while employee expenses remained broadly stable at ₹105.14 crore.
The company reported a loss before tax of ₹276.88 crore, compared with ₹472.99 crore in the year-ago quarter. A deferred tax benefit of ₹69.94 crore helped reduce the reported net loss.
What Investors Should Watch
Revenue growth is encouraging, but the next challenge is converting higher sales into sustainable profits. Investors will monitor quarterly revenue momentum, material costs, operating expenses and finance costs to assess the company’s path towards profitability.
EQMint Takeaway: Tejas Networks has delivered strong year-on-year revenue growth and reduced its losses. However, the sequential increase in losses and continued high costs show that a sustained return to profitability remains uncertain.
