Shares of Davangere Sugar Company Ltd surged 6% following a robust operational turnaround and aggressive global expansion plans. The integrated Karnataka-based producer is pivoting rapidly toward biofuels, with its multi-feed distillery segment generating ₹133.5 crore in FY26 to become its primary revenue engine. Momentum quickened in Q1 FY27, with top-line growth jumping 44.2% YoY to ₹34.7 crore.

Investor sentiment was further fueled by major capital milestones. The company raised USD 100 million via low-coupon Foreign Currency Convertible Bonds (FCCBs) listed on Mauritius’s Afrinex Exchange. Demonstrating international ambitions, DSCL deployed USD 84.95 million into its UK subsidiary, Aurevant Global Ltd, to pursue cross-border ethanol and sugar M&A. Concurrently, promoters signaled strong conviction by converting ₹40.12 crore in debt into warrants, raising their stake to 45.67%. Backed by multi-year ethanol blending tailwinds and expanding distillation capacity, Davangere Sugar is evolving from a regional mill into an integrated green-energy powerhouse.
