The second edition of the Accord Equips Wildlife Photography Contest is set to culminate in a four-day exhibition and awards program at the Bombay Art Society, Bandra Reclamation, Mumbai, from September 26 to 29, 2026.
The exhibition will showcase 50 shortlisted wildlife photographs selected from around 600 entries received for this year’s contest. The initiative brings together photographers at different stages of their careers, offering visitors an opportunity to experience different perspectives on wildlife, nature and conservation through photography.
13 Winners to Be Felicitated, Awards Worth Over ₹2 Lakh
The awards ceremony will be held on September 26 from 2 pm to 6 pm, with 13 winners set to be felicitated across different categories.
The total awards are worth more than ₹2 lakh.
The jury for the contest includes wildlife filmmaker Kenneth Lawrence, wildlife photographer and conservationist Apurv Isaac (Lala), and fashion photographer Dabboo Ratnani.
Jury Highlights the Role of Wildlife Photography
According to Tejash Shah of Accord Equips, the contest received around 600 entries this year. The organizers have expanded the initiative by presenting the top 50 photographs as part of the exhibition.
The program will also feature panel discussions and a Canon Camera Gear Service Camp, allowing photographers and visitors to interact, learn and discuss different aspects of photography.
Jury member Kenneth Lawrence said photography can help connect audiences with the natural world by introducing them to wildlife, landscapes and moments they may otherwise never encounter.
For Dabboo Ratnani, participation in the jury offered an opportunity to explore photography beyond his usual focus on fashion, form and aesthetics.
Panel Discussions to Focus on Wildlife Photography
The event will include panel discussions on September 26 and 27, covering different aspects of wildlife photography.
According to Apurv Isaac (Lala), the discussions will bring photographers and practitioners together to examine the relationship between photography, observation and conservation.
A Canon Camera Gear Service Camp will also be held on September 26 from 11 am to 7 pm, offering equipment servicing and technical assistance to photographers.
The exhibition will remain open to visitors from 11 am to 7 pm throughout the four-day program.
Accord Equips Plans Annual Wildlife Photography Platform
The organizers plan to continue the wildlife photography contest and exhibition as an annual initiative.
The third edition of the contest is scheduled to take place from April 15 to June 30, 2027, according to the organizers.
The continuation of the program is aimed at creating a recurring platform for photographers and enthusiasts to showcase wildlife imagery while engaging with conversations around nature and conservation.
