Hindustan Coca-Cola Holdings (HCCH), the holding company of Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB), is reportedly preparing to file its draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) with SEBI this week.
According to media reports, the proposed IPO could be worth approximately $1 billion, with a sought valuation of around $10 billion. The listing is expected in 2027, although the company has not confirmed these reported details.
IPO structure and timeline
The proposed offering is expected to be largely an offer for sale (OFS), allowing existing shareholders to sell their stakes rather than raising fresh capital for the company.
Coca-Cola holds a 60% stake in HCCH, while Jubilant Bhartia Group owns the remaining 40%. Jubilant’s investment followed an agreement announced in December 2024, with the transaction completed in July 2025.
The IPO process gained further attention after Coca-Cola announced in June 2026 that it was exploring a potential listing. Earlier reports had suggested a December filing, while the latest report points to a possible filing this week.
Why the listing matters
HCCB manufactures and distributes brands including Coca-Cola, Thums Up, Sprite, Limca and Maaza in India. A public listing would give investors an opportunity to gain exposure to the country’s beverage market while bringing greater scrutiny to the business’s financial performance.
Investors will look to the DRHP for audited financials, debt levels, the exact offer structure, selling shareholders and valuation details. Water usage, packaging regulations and input costs are also among the business risks to watch.
The proposed IPO could become a major consumer-sector listing, but its size, valuation and timing remain subject to confirmation through official disclosures.
