Google has unveiled Gemini 4 Argon, its latest flagship AI model focused on coding, enterprise knowledge work and cybersecurity. Announced on September 30, the model is designed for complex, long-horizon tasks and can generate up to 1 million tokens, significantly expanding the amount of code and information it can handle in a single response.
Google says Argon can assist with debugging, large codebase migrations, algorithm design and professional workflows across areas such as legal and finance. It can also identify, validate and patch software vulnerabilities while being trained to resist prompt-injection attacks.
The model is initially available to trusted members of Google’s Fairwind Program, with wider access for API customers and Google AI Ultra subscribers planned later. Google lists introductory pricing at $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens.
The launch highlights the growing competition among major AI companies to develop models capable of handling increasingly complex professional and cybersecurity tasks.
