According to the company’s exchange filing dated May 8, 2026, the project is currently progressing as planned with dedicated teams working simultaneously across hardware, firmware and Network Management System (NMS) software development.

The company stated that the product architecture for the upgraded system has already been successfully established.

MIC Electronics also said the program has achieved “meaningful progress” across major development areas and remains on track for product realisation and future deployment.

The development is important because railway modernisation and digital passenger information systems continue becoming a major infrastructure focus area in India.

Advanced IPIS systems are increasingly being used to improve passenger communication, station management and real-time railway information delivery.

For MIC Electronics, the update signals continued positioning inside the railway technology ecosystem — a segment attracting growing government and infrastructure spending.

The company also highlighted that coordinated engineering efforts and focused execution are helping maintain steady development momentum toward deployment targets.

Investors will now closely watch future updates around implementation timelines, commercial deployment and potential business impact from the railway-focused technology initiative.

Railway infrastructure and digital transport systems have remained strong market themes in recent years as India continues expanding investments across transportation modernisation projects.
