What’s the deal? Waterways Leisure Tourism Limited, which operates Cordelia Cruises, has announced that its newest ship, Cordelia Sky, will begin sailing from Mumbai on October 23, 2026. The company says the ship will bring new dining, entertainment, wellness, sports and family experiences to its India cruise offerings.
Why now? Cordelia is expanding its fleet and destination network as it looks to make cruise holidays a more familiar choice for Indian travellers. Cordelia Sky’s launch will add short weekend cruises, Goa trips and Lakshadweep itineraries from Mumbai, along with longer international journeys.
What it means. At 258 metres long and 77,104 gross tonnes, Cordelia Sky can accommodate 2,004 guests at double occupancy across 1,002 staterooms. The ship has 10 dining venues, an 930-seat Marquee Theatre, 2 pools, 5 hot tubs, more than 30,000 sq. ft. of open deck space, 11 bars and lounges, a fitness centre, spa and dedicated areas for children and teenagers.
By the numbers. The accommodation mix includes 245 Mini Suites, 429 Interior staterooms, 313 Ocean View staterooms, 11 Penthouse Suites and 4 Chairman’s Suites. Mumbai itineraries will include 2-night weekend cruises, 3-night Goa cruises, 4-night Lakshadweep cruises and 5-night Goa and Lakshadweep sailings.
What’s next? Cordelia Sky will also operate 7-night Southeast Asia itineraries from Chennai, connecting destinations such as Phuket, Langkawi, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. The company says the new ship will expand its offering across weekend breaks, family holidays, celebrations and international journeys.
