Synopsis: Lord’s Mark Industries has acquired Radio Electric Private Limited, the company behind Radiotone Variacs and toroidal transformers, expanding its specialised electrical manufacturing capabilities and supporting its battery energy storage and medical device businesses.
Lord’s Mark Industries Limited has acquired Radio Electric Private Limited, the company behind the Radiotone brand of Variacs and toroidal transformers. The company disclosed the acquisition to BSE on 12 October 2026 under Regulation 30 of SEBI’s listing requirements. Lord’s Mark Industries trades under BSE scrip code 501261.
Founded in 1939, Radio Electric manufactures variable autotransformers, toroidal transformers and other specialised electrical products. Its customers include Siemens, Hitachi Hi-Rel Power Electronics, Larsen & Toubro and Bharat Bijlee, according to the company’s announcement.
Lord’s Mark said the acquisition brings an established customer base of around 40–50 customers, export relationships across seven countries and manufacturing capacity that is currently operating at approximately 50% utilisation on a single shift.
The acquisition will support Lord’s Mark’s entry into specialised electrical manufacturing and its expansion in the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) segment. Managing Director and CEO Dr Sachidanand Upadhyay said the business could also help the company manufacture critical components in-house for its medical device operations.
Production will continue at Radio Electric’s existing facility, with its trained workforce and vendor network retained during the transition. The company has not disclosed the acquisition price, stake acquired or Radio Electric’s financial results.
