The Goregaon Malad Central CPE Study Circle recently conducted a special awareness session focused on introducing Chartered Accountants to the practical use of AI tools and digital productivity platforms.

The objective of the session was simple but important:

helping the CA community adapt to a rapidly changing technology-driven work environment.

Traditionally, the accounting and compliance industry has functioned through highly manual processes. From documentation to client communication and data collection, many workflows still depend heavily on repetitive operational effort.

The session aimed to show how AI and automation tools can significantly reduce that burden.

One of the key highlights was educating participants on the effective use of Google Forms and other simple automation platforms that can help save time, reduce manual workload and improve operational efficiency.

The session demonstrated how even basic digital tools can simplify:

  • client data collection
  • document requests
  • internal coordination
  • feedback systems
  • workflow tracking

for practicing Chartered Accountants.

The response from attendees was highly positive of CPE Study Circle. A large number of CAs participated in the event, reflecting growing curiosity within the profession around technology adoption and AI-driven productivity.

Interestingly, even senior professionals — who are generally seen as more rigid towards changing traditional systems — showed openness and willingness to understand how AI can support their work instead of replacing it.

That shift in mindset became one of the most important takeaways from the session of CPE Study Circle. Rather than viewing AI as a threat, many participants explored it as a practical support system capable of improving efficiency and reducing repetitive tasks.

The initiative also reflects a broader transformation currently happening across professional industries. AI is no longer limited to technology companies.

It is slowly entering fields like:

  • accounting
  • taxation
  • compliance
  • legal advisory
  • consulting
  • finance operations

where traditional systems have existed for decades.

For the CA community, sessions like these are becoming increasingly important because the future of professional services will likely depend not just on technical knowledge, but also on how efficiently professionals use technology alongside that expertise.

And the Goregaon Malad Central CPE Study Circle’s initiative highlighted exactly that transition.
